To all those guys who greeted me but whose names I wasn't able to mention, thanks just the same.
Anyway, I just had lunch, which consisted of a hotdog sandwich and a huge cup of Milo. It was only then that I realized how hungry I was. LOL.
I had my first taste of the DS Enhancement (or Enrichment. Whatever fits) program yesterday, and I could sum all of it up in one word: BORING. Our teacher for the whole morning (well, at least up to 11 o'clock only) was the ever faithful Sleeping Beauty. I thought she was gonna teach us things on journalism, but noooooooo. What she did teach us was this useless grammar stuff, which is more fitting for Grade 5 pupils. PUH-LEEEZ....
(Just so you know, I joined the English Enhancement thingy just so I would be chosen as a member of the DSBH staff next school year.)
And after the 9:30 break, we (me, Jujang, KIA, Chad and Pau) saw Ate Kec. I didn't recognize her at first, since pimples started growing on her cheeks. It was only after she talked to us that I realized it was her. She told us she was there because she and her companions had towork on the yearbook. She's a staffer, obviously.
After our little talk with Ate Kec, the next thing we saw was a hell of a lot more unexpected: GRENDEL in a blouse with something which looked like a necktie. I was, all the while, thinking to myself that she stole Avril's old look. Hmmm...Grendel...a rocker? Blech.
She (Grendel) came up to us and started bragging about her Mary Rose Saplaco (my former classmate) in some declamation thingy for the Miss Whatsoever contest a few days ago, and about how Mary Rose won the "Best in Talent" award, and about how she beat the other 18 contestants. I would've wanted to blurt out that her opponents may have been kindergarteners.
At 11 o'clock, our English class ended, and off I went to Newton. There, under the shed where me and my fellow Dominicanas usually eat our snacks, I saw, well, my fellow Dominicanas. They were eating the chichacorn which I brought home from Vigan (which was accompanied by a few keychains), and which I gave them that morning at Newton before I left for DS. Fiona then showed me her very own copy of Avril's new album, "The Best Damn Thing". Oh man, how I wanted to just snatch it out of her hands and run home.
Little did I know that they were planning yet another "trip" to the mall. I tried stopping them, but my efforts were useless. So I just went up to our classroom, where Ate Roma was already waiting to give a few tests.
And speaking of the tests, they were the hardest English tests I've ever encountered on my journey through Newton. I also failed one of them: the first English test I've failed in at Newton. I was so freakin' bummed out. But Ate Roma told me that, even if I failed that test, she'll still give me the prize which she promised me (that was for passing in all of my tests which she gace us).
She dismissed us a bit early, and I went off to the mall to meet Cham, Eka, Issa and Fiona. Crystal was also with them, and I gave her the keychain (from Vigan) which I promised her. We also saw Jamy and Calvin.
We bought our chow at McDonald's (as usual), then we ate at the Food Court. But before that, we had to wait for Fiona to finish whatever she was doing at the LBC thingy.
Anyway, back to the Food Court. There was this guy who was singing some old time favorites on the karaoke in Worlds of Fun. Then later on he was joined by a woman, and they were singing this sing which went like "Joni please say you'll wait for me" or something like that.
Jamy kept on nagging me to hurry up eating so we could go to Newton together (she had her class there and I was gonna take the make-up tests which I was supposed to take on the afternoon we left for Vigan). Eventually, I was done eating. We said our goodbyes to the others (Goodbyes? Ano yun? Mag-aabroad?) and off we went to the Study Center.
Once we arrived there, Jamy went to her room while I went to look for Ate Cynthia. I found her, and she let me take my tests in the room which we used during our last make-up test. She wasn't supposed to let me use the aircon, but since the ceiling fans were out of order (or so she thought), she consented. Once she gave me tests, I was surprised at how thick the pile was (it was about 2 inches thick). A few minutes later, Nicole Torres, another girl who missed her make-up tests, joined me.
And even if I started earlier than she did, she finished A LOT earlier than I did.
Blame it on how hard it was to think of the right formulas to all those Math and Chemistry problems. I also re-took some of the Math tests which I already re-took before. That was probably 'coz I didn't write my solutions on the test papers, so this time, I made sure I wouldn't make that mistake again.
It was already past 4 o'clock when I was done (dig this: I started at about 1:50). And I was so stressed out because of the test that I forgot what Paula told me to ask Ate Cynthia.
At least I got American Idol to clear my mind a bit.
It was rock week on the said show, and it was only Melinda who rocked the house (she sang Bon Jovi's "Have A Nice Day"). Man she's such a freakin' good singer!!! I do hope she wins.
Speaking of rock week, it was the week which Gina was looking forward to. She was in the audience last night. Awwww...I was reminded of Gina again. I am still NOT OVER her elimination. I miss her so much :'c
Plus, I know who's going home tonight. Clue: Both of them have almost the same hairstyle.
============================================================
Ok, let's talk about today.
When I woke up this morning, I was almost simoultaneously greeted by dozens of people through my cellphone.
Man, how I wish something like that would happen everyday.
We had our Finals at Newton, and I assure you that they were really, REALLY freakin' hard. Even the Languages part was hard!!! But we only checked the latter and the Reading Comprehension part of it. My scores were a little above average. But at least I passed those two. For the Math and Science parts though, who knows what my fate would be.
Tomorrow's our last day there. I am SOOOOO gonna miss all the people whom I met there.
Anyway, Mel tagged me. Wow
So, here goes:
Rules:
1. Write about how much addicted u are towards something.
2. Don't forget to include the percentage of 'addictedness' towards that thing.
3. All with one condition > the total of percentage must reach 100%
4. You MUST tag others and continue tagging but plz dont forget to explain the rulez and plz notify that person so that they know they had been tagged.
ADDICTION TO MUSIC (especially ROCK) - I just can't (and I'm sure nobody can, either, live without it)
ADDICTION TO AMERICAN IDOL - you'll know why once you watch the show
ADDICTION TO THE INTERNET - puh-leez. Everyone does it
ADDICTION TO BLOGGING - I do this almost everyday. I need a way to let outmy thoughts, you know
ADDICTION TO CHUCKS - every rocker I know (even AVRIL LAVIGNE) uses chucks
ADDICTION TO FOOD - that's self-explanatory
ADDICTION TO MY SIX-STRING - I have to get hold of it at least once a day
ADDICTION TO THE COLOR BLACK - even though I don't have that many black-colored things, I'm a really big "fan" of this color. And I don't even know why
ADDICTION TO AVRIL LAVIGNE and KELLY CLARKSON - these girls so totally rock my world with their music!!!
ADDICTION TO BLACK EYE-LINER - it brings out the rocker in me
ADDICTION TO TEXTING - my day is incomplete if I can't text at least 20 people a day
ADDICTION TO BOOKS - I admit. I'm a bookworm
ADDICTION TO VOLLEYBALL and BASKETBALL - I always want to be one of the first five or first six during basketball/volleyball games in school. And I take our games seriously.
I'll stop there, 'coz if I were to put all of my addictions here, I'd be finished tomorrow.
PS - Like FIONA, I didn't wanna do the math, so I didn't put percentage thingies there.
And I don't think I'll tag anyone yet. Maybe next time.
And Mel, thanks for informing me about the tag.
I will see y'all again next time
