WHAT'S IN MY HEAD: "One Night Only" by Jennifer Hudson
*This is one of the songs from Jeniffer Hudson's movie "Dreamgirls". That movie is so cool. You've gotta watch it.
I'M BACK!!!
We just celebrated my birthday today (courtesy of my brother and my sister-in-law). Even if it's still two days away, I feel 16 already. Thanks you guys!!! Even to the people who already greeted me.
Anyway, enough about me. Let's talk about our Vigan trip...
I had to skip my make-up tests (at Newton) on the afternoon of April 28, just so we could make the trip (I'm gonna have them tomorrow afternoon). We arrived in Vigan at about 9:30 in the evening (we left Dagupan at about 3), and we went straight to my sister-in-law's (Ate Mallen's) house, the place we were gonna stay in. But we didn't eat dinner immediately. Me and my brothers had some bonding time and shot some hoops (at the half-court beside the house). It was only then that I realized that my eldest brother (Kuya Jon) was good at the game (even though he's a bit vertically challenged, if you know what I mean). He's an all around player. He made almost all the shots he attempted. But I also had my share of praises. My other bro (Kuya Oliver) kept on joking that I got better at playing basketball because I would skip classes just to play the game. That does sound like a good idea. Hehe.
After a shower and dinner, I immediately went to bed. My parents and Kuya Oliver followed suit (we slept in one room, on separate beds, of course). After about 30 minutes, I still couldn't sleep. So couldn't my roommates. Then I heard Kuya Oliver say something about his bed being shook by an invisible someone. I thought he was joking.
The next day, though, I realized that I was wrong.
As soon as we woke up, he began telling everyone about his shaky bed, plus this story: It was about 12 o'clock midnight, and yet he oculdn't sleep. Suddenly, he felt a tingly feeling in his right wrist. It was moving higher and higher on his arm. He shook it off (literally) then went back to trying to go to sleep. Then, he felt that same feeling on his leg. He just ignored it. I got sooo freaked out about those 'ghosts' that I couldn't stand being alone in a room (except the bathroom, of course).
That same day, we (my family and Ate Mallen's family) went to Baluarte (after me and my bros had another round of basketball, and a shower of course), the zoo owned by Chavit Singson. Here are some of the photos we took there.

Then we went to the the Syquia Mansion (which was turned into a museum), the same place where former Philippine President Elpidio Quirino temporarly lived.
That afternoon, we went to Heritage to watch the Kalesa Parade (it was held in line with the celebration of Vigan's Fiesta). We even saw a horse sporting a Sanjaya-like mohawk.
The next day, my mom, my dad and some of my cousins went home ahead of us. They had to catch up with something which they couldn't put off. As usual, me and my bros played some basketball again, but this time I had a bit of a hard time moving, because my whole body ached, basically 'coz I'm not used to having that much exercise. After a shower and breakfast, me, my cousin, my bros, Ate Mallen and Raffy (my nephew) went to the Crisologo Museum which was just a stone's throw away from the house we were staying in. It once was the residence of Floro Crisologo, a former Ilocos Sur congressmen. We litterally ransacked the place, basically 'coz the tour guide was busy entertaining the other tourists. Don't believe us? See for yourself.

We went back to the house after that to recharge (in other words, eat our snacks). Then we took my bro's Starex and drove off to the Burgos Museum. Unfortunately, it was closed. So we just went to Bantay and saw the famous bell tower there. Then we went to Pagburnayan (a place where clay pots are made). We didn't have any photo ops in the latter, though. Then we went back to the house for lunch. After that, we had another trip to Heritage, where dozens of people were making their entries to a certain art contest. Their works were made with beans stuck on plywood. Here are our photos.
BANTAY

That afternoon (at about 2 o'clock) we left Vigan. The trip was, well, a bit boring, so I immediately went to sleep. But we had a few stopovers so we could buy our pasalubongs. Finally, at about 9 in the evening, we arrived home, and after eating and washing up, everyone was in bed, dead tired 'coz of the long weekend.
Sorry if I couldn't describe our vacation in full detail, and if I can't post all of our pics. Raffy's nagging me to let him have his turn at the laptop. By the way, Raffy is the boy in black in one of my photos who looks like he's peeing in the clay jar. So, see ya!!!
