WHAT'S STUCK IN MY HEAD: "Sweet Escape" by Gwen Stefani
*I know what you're thinking: "Sweet Escape again?". Well, I just heard it (again) this morning on the radio, and from then on, I couldn't get it out of my head.
Yesterday, me and my friends succeeded in getting to Newton late. Me and Karissa arrived there before Eka, Cham and Fiona, because they had to go to the bank to take care of some business of some sort. We (me and Issa) thought we were gonna get in trouble because Ma'am Ria (our Physics teacher) saw us come from the direction of the mall. Good thing the opposite of what we expected happened. As for my mom's friend, I don't think he mentioned anything (about seeing me) to her. Cham and the others arrived about 20 or 30 minutes after we did.
And speaking of yesterday, we were given the results of our personality test. That little sheet of paper told me that I might do well in careers involving COMPUTERS, STRATEGIC PLANNING, LAW, POLITICS, MEDICINE, SCIENCE, BUSINESS MANAGEMENT, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, COMEDY, MAGIC (I don't know how the hell that got in there), INVENTING, VENTURE CAPITALISM, ART, MUSIC, SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION, TEACHING, LANGUAGES, JOURNALISM and COACHING. I was elated 'coz I saw that journalism fit my personality, and I set my mind on just taking that up in college. But when I woke up this morning, I realized that Journalism students didn't take any licensure exam, and I was really hoping I could take one after college. So I decided to just take up Medicine, with Nursing as my pre-med course. But I'm not entirely sure about it yet. I'm also hoping my parents would allow me to study in USTe. I wanna go there since 1) most of my friends would go to college there and 2) my fellow ENCORD-ians would be going there.
Speaking of USTe, it's one of the schools we're gonna be visiting during the Campus Tour (courtesy of Newton) this June. The other schools would be Ateneo de Manila University, University of the Philippines (Manila) and De La Salle University (I think). Only the people who are presently enrolled at Newton would be joining. It's not compulsary, though. Vans would be used for our transportation, and there would be 10 people per van. Ya'll know that there are eleven Dominicans at Newton, and we're planning to separate Know It All from our group (on the van). Let's think about it as payback for all the stupid things she did to us.
Anyway, Jamy joined us in our classes at Newton today, since her Enhancement classes (at DS) were moved to this afternoon due to the inavailability of a certain Math teacher this morning.
Our Math classes were, as usual, as exciting as watching an ice cube melt in your drink, so me, Nico and Jamy resorted to playing tic-tac-toe (me and Nico took turns playing with Jamy). She (Jamy) is so obsessed with the game that she calls herself the reigning tic-tac-toe champion. And she was a bit bummed out when Nico finally beat her, that she asked fo a rematch.
English period was a whole lot better. Ate Roma (our teacher) gave us a few brain teasers to answer. At least she knows how to liven up a class.
During dismissal, me and my friend (I won't tell who, but she's also from DS) left Newton together. But before we did so, this crazy guy came up to us, and he was, like, hitting on my friend. He was saying something like "Hi" with the "i" sound sounding more like "ee". We were both freaked out. Good thing this CSI-LUCAO jeep came along to the rescue. Haay...
It's another American Idol night tonight, but this episode is gonna be extra special 'coz it's part of the two-night "Idol Gives Back" special. IGB is sorta like a fund-raising program of AI, and every vote on tomorrow's results show would be converted into cash, and that would go to the people in Africa, and also the victims of the hurricane Katrina. Plus tomorrow's guests include Daniel Radcliffe, Il Divo, Celine Dion, Borat, KELLY CLARKSON and a whole lot more. Be sure to watch today's and tomorrow's episodes (6 o'clock on Star World, with replays at 8 o'clock and 11:30 on the sais channel).
That's all for now. Toodles!!!
