WHAT'S STUCK IN MY HEAD: "Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne
*Me and my fellow Dominicans at Newton kept on singing this in the bathroom (at Newton) this morning, and we were immitating some of the scenes in the music video (Avril drawing a big 'X' on the mirror, and some of her backup dancers suddenly coming out of the cubicles)
Oh joy of joys!!! The most awaited moment of ALL has come: SANJAYA MALAKAR'S ELIMINATION!!! I found out about it as I was looking at the 'headlines' on the Yahoo homepage, and there I saw it: "Bad vocals finally end Sanjaya's 'Idol' run". It was like the heavens suddenly openned up. If only I were at home, I'd be jumping up with joy!!! Wait 'til my brothers hear about this. Oh they'll be soooooo ecstatic. They've all been wanting to see Sanjaya's butt kicked out of the show ever since Hollywood week. It's just about time that people stopped voting for him. Served him right. He had only a fraction of the talent of the other contestants. Let me correct myself: HE DIDN'T HAVE ANY TALENT AT ALL. I wonder why, then, people actually voted for him even though he was only as good as William Hung. But his elimination came as really, really good news to me. In fact, I'm sooooo happy that I feel like throwing a party. On second thought, maybe next time, when Melinda Doolittle is declared as this season's American Idol. Heje.
Anyway, yesterday's make-up tests were a lot easier than the first time we took them (based on the fact that we've taken them before). Even the Math part was easy. And after I passed my paper (me and my fellow Dominicans finished the test ahead of the others), it was only then that I remembered that we needed to show our solutions to the answers to the Math problems, and now I take back what I said about the Math test being easy. But Ate Cynthia (our proctor) told us that we may just retake the test (again) next week, so that's what we chose to do. At least we still had time to learn all those stupid formulas.
My day (today) at Newton was such a bummer. I failed in all of the tests we had (one in Filipino and I think three in Chemistry). I would've passed those Chemistry tests if only I had listened to Mrs. Montoy during our class discussions. As for the Filipino test, I'm not really good at that particular subject (I mean, I didn't growing up speaking the damn language!!!).
Well, I gotta go home and celebrate Sanjaya's elimination. Bye!!!
