WHAT'S STUCK IN MY HEAD: "Sweet Escape" by Gwen Stefani
*I first heard this song on American Idol, when Gwen Stefani performed it there when she mentored the contestants, and I immediately fell in love with it.
Y'all know how I always talk about how hard our reviews at Newton are. Well, this day was especially hard. We had almost a whole day of boring Biology lessons. I failed all my tests in that stupid subject. Then my teacher called a bunch of students in front (yours truly included), gave us each illustrations of the cell division phases and told us to arrange them in chronological order on the board. Naturally, I waited for all my companions to finish sticking their respective illustrations before I stuck mine. Good thing is we arranged them in their correct order. But the funny part came near the end of our lesson, when our teacher's bra strap was falling, and could be seen near her shirt's sleeve. Me and my fellow Newtonians were all laughing at her, and she obviously didn't know the reason, until one of her co-teachers came up to her at the end of the class and fixed the damage for her. I gotta hand it to her, though; if she hadn't had that 'wardrobe malfunction', me and Kriziel wouldn't have had the chance to talk (more like taunt our unfortunate teacher). She's a nice girl. We have a lot in common (when it comes to being noisy and mocking other people), so I think we're gonna get along just fine.
But yesterday, I passed one of 4 tests in Abstract reasoning, and one of 3 tests in Geometry,so I was pretty elated whem I got home. I mean, for the first time since last week, I passed a Geometry test!!!
And speaking of Newton, we'll be staying there for the whole day tomorrow (from 8:30am to 5:50pm) because we're gonna be having our make-up tests (we're gonna retake the tests we failed in), which means two things: 1) I might not have time to update my blog and 2) I'll be forced to watch the 8 o'clock replay of American Idol. Then on Friday we'll be having our mid-term exams (yikes!!!) and the people at Newton are gonna send the results of that test to our parents (double yikes!!!). This calls for 'Operation Don't-Go-To-Newton-Until-The-Letter-Arrives-And-Try-To-Hide-It-From-Parents'. Or I could just face the music, no matter how bad it is.
By the way, there's this friend of mine at Newton who had the first impression of a really humble guy, but he turned out to be just the opposite. Sure, he's nice and all, but he's almost like the boy version of Know-It-All. He always thinks his answer is correct, and will say it out loud while the teacher is still reading the question. That's why me and Cham are delighted whenever his answers are wrong (serves him right).
For the first time this week, Eka and Fiona attended the review. Fiona had been absent for about 3 days straight, and I think Eka went 'missing' (what a term!!!) for two days. That called for a celebration!!! Heje...
I'm currently listening to the French version of Avril Lavigne's 'Girlfriend', and it's soooooo cool!!! Too bad only the chorus is in French :'c
Anyway, I gotta go. My tummy's startin to complain. Heje. See ya!!!
