hey guys!!! i totally forgot to tell you yesterday about our trip to the Missionaries of Charity, or Abong na Panangaro...our whole class went there last Wednesday...it was totally on short notice...umaga lang ng Wednesday nung sinabi sa amin!!! pinadala ko pa guitar ko, pero hindi ko rin naman nagamit dun...heje...we thought we wouldn't go there anymore coz our English teacher (Grendel, as our whole class calls her) told us that the trip was, again, cancelled...siguro napahiya siya nun...hehehe!!!!! good for her!!!!!...we stayed for about an hour...it's all a part of our community service thing...everyone from grade 5 to fourth year went there...
here's what happened during our visit...
our class was divided into two groups...all the boys were put in one group, and all the girls in the other...the boys went to the oldies section first while we stayed at the kids' section...we sang and danced with the kids...we had so much fun...we even saw some future Rey Mysterios and Paul Londons there (they were tumbling and jumping and standing on the dividers of their cribs!!!)...hehehe...and there was this one kid who had hydrocephalus (i have no idea if i spelled that word correctly...), whom me and my girl friends loved to be with, coz whenever he would see someone, he would say 'Ate Danda (ganda)!'...yup, kahit sinong makita niya, girl or boy...heje...
after that, it was the boys' shift at the kids' section, so we went to the oldies section...we told stories with them...one of them even knew how to sing Mata by Mojofly...she even asked us to bring her some lipstick on our next visit!! heje...and then there was this old blind woman whom me and my friends interviewed...she said that all her family members are already dead, and that she was brought to Abong by the DSWD people...man, i really pitied that woman...
because of our trip there, i was able to learn one very valuable lesson: even if my parents could be a downright pain in the ass sometimes, i'm still so lucky to have them...
